Single storey kitchen extension Cheadle Hulme

Stockport Construction has recently been commissioned to build a single storey kitchen extension at the rear of a house in Cheadle Hulme. Designed specifically to complement the existing semi-detached house while also adding more space, the first step was to demolish the existing brick built kitchen and open up the area at the back and side of the building.

We were able to acquire plant machinery like the digger you see in one of photographs to assist with the demolition process and then clear away all of the rubble and plaster etc. The next step was to prepare the foundations for concrete and expose the existing kitchen. Once the concrete had been laid and set, the brickwork started with the outer bricks initially being laid and subsequently breeze blocks being added as an inner wall.

We are currently in the process of adding the roof trusses and timber frame. The photographs provided show each stage of the building work so far. Follow our progress as we complete the work.
